Dear Young Families:
Due to my mistake of scheduling our Vacation Bible School, so late in the summer, and so close to the beginning of school, our usual staff of eager volunteers was too small in number to safely host our annual summer event for sharing the Gospel with your children. Rest assured I have learned from this experience.
We have appreciated your participation in this joyous mission during all the years past, and hope you will allow us to work smarter in the future, so we can again gather to share with all ages, the gift of God’s ageless love in Jesus Christ. We hope you will not see this announcement as a cancellation notice, but rather a postponement till the summer of 2020.
While there is a common phrase the often heard by sports fans when confronted with a losing season, the phrase rightly sums up our hopes and expectations about our Vacation Bible School: “Wait till next year!”
May the Lord continue to bless your remaining summer weeks with safety and fun.
